Field Marketing Manager- Houston

Location: 

Texas, Houston, TX, US

Work from home office position is based out of Houston, TX.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Field Marketing Manager drives sales by supporting restaurants, managers, and franchisees though executing system wide marketing programs, developing/executing local/co-op market plans, and developing and assisting with local restaurant marketing plans for sub-markets & specific restaurants.  The Field Marketing Manager also provides day-to-day leadership, management, and guidance to the Field Marketing Specialists.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Field Marketing support
  • Provides day-to-day marketing support for assigned restaurants, managers, and franchisees
  • Serves as the key marketing contact for the field ensuring timely,  proactive, and seamless communication
  • Responsible for developing and executing all marketing in assigned markets
  • Ensures franchisees are spending 5% on effective advertising initiatives and executes programs and systems to enable restaurants and markets to achieve business goals
  • Works with field operations teams and field marketing specialists to align market strategies and plans
  • Assures continuity of efficient and effective marketing activities and plans throughout the system
  • Provides leadership and support to field marketing specialists

 

  1. Co-op Marketing Plans
  • Develops and implements sales-driving, co-op marketing plans to support system wide programs and local market opportunities
  • Works with marketing team and/or agencies to develop effective and efficient media, LRM, and communication plans to drive sales and support system wide activities
  • Executes media strategy to ensure long term growth and brand objectives, including building a structure that can support both local and national initiatives
  • Works with franchisees to manage co-op activity and manage co-op budgets
  • Serves as the marketing expert and leader in assigned markets including understanding demographics, competition, industry activity, consumer needs, and local brand positioning & market conditions
  • Assists Sr. Director of Field Marketing in managing co-op marketing planning and the execution of marketing plans and co-op meetings

 

  1. LRM Plans
  • Develops a culture of LRM in assigned markets
  • Proactively identifies markets, trade areas and restaurants that need specialized plans to meet sales objectives; works with local managers and franchisees to build and support the execution of those plans
  • Develops and assists markets and restaurants LRM activities to drive sales
  • Oversees that LRM plans are consistent and efficiently planned across the system

 

  1. New Restaurant Openings
  • Responsible for developing and supporting 18-month NRO plans including pre-opening, opening, post-opening and “comp” period plans
  • Works with development and construction teams during NRO process to achieve successful openings
  • Works with field team to develop a system wide plan, process, and materials to efficiently and effectively open new restaurants.  Serves as a back up support for field specialist in case of conflicting schedules

 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

Education

  • Bachelors degree; Masters degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)

 

Experience

  • At least 5 year’s experience in field marketing, retail marketing, restaurant marketing or related field

  • Strong local restaurant marketing experience with emphasis on community and marketing within the digital space.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing business environments and execute supplemental marketing tactics to achieve planned results.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of creativity, innovative and pro-activeness.
  • Analytical ability to understand how to assess the impact of programs and initiatives.
  • Proven history of working with key franchise and company operational groups, developing supplier relationships and contributing positively in a senior/executive team environment.
  • Comfortable with web-based and project management tools for daily process and communication.
  • Proven ability to manage complex budgets.
  • Strong computer skills – MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
